Obama Leaving PA

If Obama is already leaving the state before the polls have even closed, then his loss must be significant. He is not bothering to rally anyone. I find it interesting that he is going to Indiana, not North Carolina, but not surprising. He obviously feels a need to shore up support in Indiana in the face of the Pennsylvania news.

Update - The official Pennsylvania election results will be posted here. It has the primary contests, but also some downticket results. I am curious to see the degree of vote fall-off from the Democratic primary. Most party races are single candidate, so people may not feel a need to offer a choice, but in contested races, I'm curious to see which areas show the most voter fall off.

Heh. Obama wants to get Clinton out of the race as soon as possible. Depending on tonight's results, NC might be too late for Obama if Clinton wins big in both PA and IN. I think Obama could lose a lot of superdelegates before NC if she blows him out in two states in a row. It's already a big red flag for them that despite outspending Clinton 4:1 and sending $12 DVDs and posters to every voter in PA, Obama still can't seal the deal and win a big state. But what do I know. I'm only a student.

I am so happy that you're doing this tonight. I need a nice, safe, comfy home to be tonight.

Run. Hillary. Run.

Sorry. I thought IN was next. NC is the next primary. But Obama's expected to win there. Either way he's in trouble wiht these numbers coming in. Hillary blew him out in PA. Just amazing victory considering she was outspent and Obama had 6 weeks to close the gap. This is a great night for Hillary. Yay!!!

CutePeachPanda,

You're 0 for 2. Both Indiana and North Carolina vote next on Tuesday, May 6.

Haha. Ok. Thanks, CMike. Even better. Obama has less time to close the gap in IN.

This leaving the state he lost without thanking his volunteers is not unusual behavior with him. He did the same in Nevada.

Jeez...the guy at least owes them that!

Barack doesn't seem to think he owes anybody anything. Being Obama means never having to say you are sorry.

Maybe old news to everyone at this point, but the three other races--Attorney Gen, State Treasurer, Auditor Gen.--Democrats won a bigger share of votes than their Republican counterparts, too.

Also noticed last night and today, the name Dukakis starting to attach to Obama. Uh oh. A Willie Horton smear job is in play. Got a few of info at me blog.
